About Us

Vermont Designer Wreaths is a family-owned business that has strived to handcraft the finest, freshest, highest quality, live Christmas decorations in New England for over 20 years.

Carmen Comeau, Designer and Owner, has over 30 years in the floral design industry. She began working at a local flower shop which led her to start her own dried-flower design business and has evolved into Christmas wreath decorating and designing that involves the whole family.

Nestled in the rolling hills of Northern Vermont and in the heart of the wreath making industry, Vermont Designer Wreaths utilizes local wreath makers. Our wreaths are handcrafted by experienced artisans and purchased from local home suppliers in what is known as a traditional Vermont cottage-industry.

A lot has changed in the past 20 years. Vermont Designer Wreaths has grown from a few dozen wreaths sold to family, friends, and neighbors to our present day status of shipping hundreds of wreaths from coast to coast. We’ve expanded our product line of balsam fir products over the years and added mixed evergreen items, centerpieces, swags, and kissing balls. Our newest addition is our web site!

The Comeau family wishes you and your family all the best with a joyful and blessed holiday season. Thank you for visiting our web site and please know that any product you purchase from us is truly sent from our home to yours.

Christmas Advent Wreath

In stock

Our Christmas Advent Wreath is made with four candles, three violet and one rose, in a circle of fresh balsam, cedar and salal greenery that is made in a moist frame that keeps this wreath fresh through Christmas. Beautifully decorated with natural pinecones and cluster berries. Approx. 16” in diameter. White pillar candle is not included.

The Advent season consists of the four Sundays prior to and including Christmas Eve. The Advent wreath is a circular wreath of evergreen branches representing eternity. On that wreath, five candles are typically arranged, three violet, one rose and a center white candle. Each candle represents an aspect of the spiritual preparation for the coming of Jesus. During the season of Advent one candle on the wreath is lit each Sunday. On Christmas Eve, the white center candle is traditionally lit. This candle is called the "Christ Candle" and represents the life of Christ that has come into the world. The color white represents purity.
